Travel in comfort in our air-conditioned vehicles driven by one of our friendlyÂ local drivers. Once you reach the historic site you will have four hours to explore and soakÂ up the incredible history and scenery at the multi award winning Port Arthur. The times allocated runs in conjunction with guided walking tours and allows enough time to do the boat cruise to the Isle of the dead if you choose.

The departures and duration of transfers are exact. Bus departing times are strict (to and from Port Arthur), No refunds if you miss the bus. Please understand that the bus cannot wait around and that you will have to make other arrangements if you miss the return bus. Allow plenty of time to get to your pick up locations.

This tour picks up at 8 locations in and around the city ONLY. Please ensure you have selected a location from the list. Please let us know what pickup point you have selected if you haven't selected one during the booking process. Please ensure plenty of time to get to your selected pick up location. This is a shuttle service which means if you are not at your location on time the bus cannot wait. Please do not call if the bus is a few minutes late remembering traffic and other pick ups can cause delays. The bus will never leave before the time specified.

Booked onto the shuttle to Port Arthur via the Viator site - thanks to Patrick at Tassie Tours direct for helping me sort out the miscommunication about whether I'd booked one-way or return to the Port Arthur historic site. Entry and other tour tickets not included in the shuttle price fyi. They got me home again! Many thanks to Andrew for an interesting, informative and safe drive down and back to Hobart. Bonus points for the unexpected sightseeing stops along the way! Other daytrippers on the bus also stated that travelling with Tassie Tours took the hassle out of the day.

Caught the shuttle to Port Arthur which is perfect if you have the late start on the 3capes track and have already been to Port Arthur. Our driver Anthony ( great bloke) was more of a tour guide though it was not expected. Great service.

The pick up was on schedule and the trip to Port Arthur and the stop at the Tasman National Park lookout was great, but commentary not audible enough. Having gone all the way to Port Arthur, would have enjoyed a short stop at the Lavender farm.

Great day to Port Arthur in the sunshine - bus driver was excellent on time picking up and on departure, extremely knowledgeable on Tasmania and all it has to offer, gave a lot of really interesting information to a full bus of people (Sorry not good at remembering names) but really nice guy. Highly recommend the Shuttle bus service don’t be afraid to book - Thank you

Fabulous trip. Picked up right where we were staying. Tony, the driver, had lots of facts to share on the bus trip. He was very accommodating to what we wanted to do making extra stops for photo opportunities, buying oysters and seeing other sights around the island. Port Arthur itself is a must do trip and gives a flavour of life in an 1800’s penitentiary.

This was a great little tour for the time we were off our cruise in Hobart. The shuttle driver was very knowledgeable about the area and provided a great commentary along the way. The guided tour on site was very informative and the boat tour was nice. Would like to have had a bit more time on site so that I could have explored more of the buildings on the site and possibly visited the island convict site.

Informative commentary on way to Port Arthur. Leaves you 4 hours to explore the site which I found ample. Had enough time to do a guided tour, have a boat cruise and do some self exploring. Also had time for a coffee and a bite. The site itself is stunning and full of history. Bonus stop at Pirates Cove for some photos. Would recommend this as a perfect day trip.

Absolutely amazing - could not recommend it more. I was the only one on the tour & the company put in just as much effort as if there was a bus full of people! My driver was extremely knowledgeable and professional, answered any questions I had, and even made the effort to make two additional stops on the way home for some photos! Thank you so much. :)

Comfortable bus. Ally was very informative about whole tour and she had a great history knowledge about Tasmania. She was a very professional driver. I highly recommend Tassie tours.
