Originally a pearling camp in the late 1880's, Herald Bight is now an informal campsite with toilets provided as basic facilities.
Campers are advised to be self-reliant and to bring enough drinking water for the duration of their stay.
This camping area is accessible only by high-clearance four-wheel drives. Tyre pressures must be reduced for the soft sand conditions. Caravans are not recommended due to the narrow and soft sand tracks.
